quire their names.
I know that the persons who received the
bribes for and paid them to the European Police were.-
A Fuk of the Yan Wo,Praya; A Yat (Baboo's boy);
the coffee boy A Chun; and Kwai Tau Hoi.
I can positively declare that if Stanton and
Quincey had not been bribed, it would have been utterly impos-

houses open in the way they were kept open.
I myself received 80 cents a day from the
Cheung Hing Street gambling house as well as from the Wa Lane
one. It was the same with all the others who received bribes,
They received equal bribes from both houses.
I know that there were several big gambling
clubs going on at the same time. They paid the ordinary detec-
tives nothing. Tang Chung knew all about them.
